About Us
As a family owned Vermont business we are proud to be working on a third generation of concrete professionals. Since 1968 we have dedicated our lives to providing the very best concrete construction service and more recently the highest quality ready mix product and service that is available in our area. At Harrison Concrete Construction, Inc. the professionalism is very evident in all aspects of our trade. Our equipment line is second to none in the industry. Harrison's was the very first company in our state to own and operate the Somero laser screed technology for large warehouse slabs and now own and operate three of these laser screeds.
Our commitment to the agriculture community is very evident by the service we provide. Some of our unique service would be our poured in place tapered wall systems for feed storage with no pilasters and free to use both sides. We are committed to the Cow Power program where by methane is converted to gas which powers large generators for the latest in "green" power for the state. We still offer some of the very best residential concrete service with highly skilled professionals to serve our customer's needs. Our latest addition to the concrete industry was the construction and start up of our new batch plant, harrison Red i-Mix Corp. in 2003, located in Georgia, Vermont off exit 18. This plant is a computer operated plant with the newest technology available. We are proud of the fact that because of the latest in air quality control the plant is fully enclosed with no cement dust migrating to the near by, and the local residential community this has proved to be a major factor in being a good neighbor. We also employ a distinctive wash out system where by the wash water from mixer clean up is recycled and pumped back to the plant for use in the concrete industry. Harrison Redi-mix also purchased and operates the best mixer trucks in the industry. These front discharge trucks are very user friendly and are evidence or our commitment to provide the best service and product possible.
The pride shown at every level from management, to office personnel, to the drivers delivering our product is quite clear. In 2005 we added an on site wash plant to wash our concrete sand and stone. This process is the single most important process available to improve the quality of our ready mix concrete. This, coupled with other factors that we are presently working on will ensure that whether it is concrete contracted in place or concrete to be delivered to our customers. We at Harrison Concrete construction, Inc. and Harrison Redi-Mix Corp. truly are striving to be "the best we can be."
